Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1.)   I have an idea and want to talk to an artist about it. How do I get started?

The best thing to do is to stop in and talk directly to the artists. They will want to see the area being tattooed in person. They can discuss your ideas and see which artist will be the best fit. You do not need an appointment for a consultation, but if planning on stopping in after 5pm please give the shop a call to let them know you are coming in. 224-802-2151

2.)   I know which artist I want to work with, how do I book an appointment with them?

Each artist is in charge of their own schedule. You will need to talk to them to set up an appointment. When setting up an appointment we take $100 non-refundable deposit, which will go towards the final price of your tattoo.

There are times when artists are not taking on any additional projects due to them working with their ongoing projects. They may either tell you a time to check back in with them or may refer you to another artist that has availability.

3.)   I live far away and can’t stop in for a consultation. What can I do?

Some of the artists take requests via email. See the links below to each artists page. It will direct you to a form or notify you that particular artist is not taking email requests.

When submitting a request via the form or email please allow time for the artist to respond. It may take some time for them to get to their emails. Most likely they are currently working with customers and do not have access to their email, or are finishing ongoing projects. For a timelier response you are welcome to give them a call 224-802-2151.

4.)   I have booked an appointment and left a deposit. What now?

Your artist has probably given you instructions on how to submit your references via email. Please include your name and date of the appointment in your email communications so the artists can easily find your email.

When you show up for your appointment your artist will have your tattoo drawing ready. If you have some additional adjustments to the drawing the artists can work with you at that time. If you have large changes to the tattoo the artist may need to reschedule your tattoo at a later date.

5.)   Why can’t I see the drawing prior to my appointment?

Understandably you are excited to see a drawing of your tattoo. Most artists are preparing for their appointments a few days to the night before the appointment. This is due to their ongoing appointments.

They will have a drawing ready for you at the time of your appointment. If changes are needed the artists can make adjustments at that time. If changing concepts or making large changes to the tattoo, the appointment may need to be rescheduled at a later date.

6.)   I sent an artist an email a while ago and haven’t heard back. What should I do?

Since the artists are usually tattooing all day, they might not get to your email right away. Please call the shop or stop by to talk to them in person if you need to talk to them. Also make sure you are putting your name and appointment date in the email so the artists will know who you are.

7.)   Something came up and I need to reschedule my tattoo. What do I do?

Please reach out to your artist prior to 72 hours from your appointment to request a reschedule. If you fail to contact your artist to reschedule and are a no show, you are forfeiting your $100 deposit.

8.)   I woke up with not feeling well, should I still show up for my appointment?

Please give us a call ASAP and let us know you are not feeling well. For your and others wellbeing, you will have to reschedule your appointment. If you show up to your appointment sick, we reserve the right to reschedule your appointment.

9.)   Do you take walk-ins?

We do on a first come first serve basis. If the artists have time they can take you on the spot or schedule a time for you to come in. The best thing to do is show up at the shop after 1 pm to see if any artist has time.

10.)   What can I do to prepare for my tattoo?

Please show up to your appointment fully rested and having eaten something. Consider wearing clothes that will make the area being tattooed easy to access and that you will be comfortable in. Show up on time. Some people bring drinks or snacks if they have a long session.

11.)   Can I bring in my friends for support?

We ask that you limit your guests to one person. Our shop currently has limited capacity and we want to ensure the safety and comfort of all of our artists and guests.
